Deadline:
Completed application must be returned to the address above, postmarked between the dates of January 4, 2010 and March 1, 2010.

Requirements:
  1. Compete in one of the State Fair of Texas Youth Livestock Show competitive events including 4-H/FFA Agricultural Public Speaking Contest, 4-H/FFA Range and Pasture Plant ID Contest, Junior Breeding Gilt Show, Youth Dairy Goat Show, Junior Llama Show, Youth Market Beef Steer Show, Youth Prospect Steer Show, Youth Market Barrow Show, Youth Market Lamb Show, Youth Market Goat Show, Youth Market Broiler Show, Youth Beef Heifer Show, Youth Breeding Rabbit Show, 4-H/FFA Agricultural Mechanics Project Show and Tractor Restoration Contest, Junior Boer Goat Show, Youth Dairy Cattle Show, 4-H/FFA Livestock Judging Contest, 4-H/FFA Dairy Cattle Judging Contest, Youth Breeding Sheep Show, or Junior Longhorn Show. Preference given to exhibitors showing multiple years.
  2. Perform well scholastically. Preference given to applicants ranking in the top 25% of their class.
  3. Submit completed application, high school transcript (including verified ACT and/or SAT score, verified rank in graduating class and size of graduating class), and parents’ IRS Form1040 (pages one and two) by deadline.
  4. Graduate from a Texas high school during the current application year and begin college or university the following September. Preference given to applicants enrolling in an agriculture and/or natural resources curriculum and having already applied to or been accepted to a Texas college or University.
  5. Attend an accredited college or university in Texas and take 12 hours minimum per term. Your first year you must post a minimum 2.5 fall grade point average to receive the spring term funds. Renewals have been available to students maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
