The Dallas Police Department Canine Unit is physically housed along with the Dallas Mounted Police in the Pan American barn. While the officers and their dogs are not readily available for viewing during barn visitation times, they are included in the Police Demonstrations on Thursdays at 3:00 P.M. in the Ranch Arena. Many citizens do not realize that the dogs reside with the officer in his home. As with any proud pet owner, the Officers are very accessible and welcome an opportunity to visit with you about his dog and the Unit in general whether it is at the Fair or in your community.
